He was the family historian and was proud to say he was a descendant of Inkpaduta (Blood Horn Tip) on his Momma’s side. Moono was a cowboy and a rancher, farmer and a school bus driver who had many gifts such as a love of horses and was well-known for ‘breaking-in broncos’ and veterinary care. He did leatherwork including lariats, ropes and harnesses for driving wagons which he also made. He loved to ‘putter’ as he called in his later years to keep busy. He even won a car from the casino which also kept him busy while waiting on his bingo player! There was always food to eat and a pot of tea on for a visit with stories and laughter. Until his last breath, he shared his teachings of humility, respect and kindness to his friends, family, community and all who knew him. Special acknowledgement to his good friend Art Francis for a lifetime of visits and a shared love of horses.
