She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Kelly Marshall and her daughter, Shannon (John) Camp. She leaves behind her brother Allan (Sharlet) Steinkey; sister, June McDonald; and sister-in-law, Adeline (Doug) Scammell. Betty was the adored grandma of Sarah (Nathan) Lehman, Charity Chalack, Caleb (Jaymie) Camp and Candace Marshall and loved great-grandma to Chloe Chalack and Esme Lehman.
Betty was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Fred; son, Terry Marshall; granddaughter, Crystal Marshall; daughter-in-law, Reta Marshall; daughter-in-law, Sarah Marshall; grandson-in-law, Logan Chalack; parents, Joseph and Euphemia Steinkey; her brothers, Ron, Tony, and James Steinkey; and sister-in-law, Blanche Almond.
Betty had a long and loving marriage to Fred, who was an Airman turned Pastor. Together they had two sons and a daughter.
While Betty was raised and educated in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, an Air Force posting took them to Cold Lake, Alberta where they resided for many years. It was there in the small towns around there that they ministered, and Betty was the perfect Pastor's wife, genuine and always at ease with people.
She would say her hobbies were gardening, cooking and bible studies. Betty will be remembered as a giver, not a taker, and a generous and caring person. She lived her life with dignity and knew that life was not about things, but about relationships. Absolutely, the world is a better place for her having been here.
2 Timothy 4:7 - "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
