Gilles was born March 18, 1948 in Welland, Ontario, to Fabien Nolet and Fred Therrien, He moved to Fort Saskatchewan in December of 1980, with his family to follow soon after. Gilles worked for the City of Edmonton for many of years till an injury made him switch careers, having many jobs in customer service.
Gilles was a devoted husband, father, papa, cousin and friend. He is survived by his wife, Denise Therrien; daughters, Annette Therrien, and Lisette (Amanda) Edgar; grandchildren, Ashton, Skylar, Chantal, and Charleigh; great grandchildren, Markus, Daxton, Rainor, and Knox. He is also remembered by his sister Plum; brother Flo, and many bonus kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is predeceased by his parents and younger brother Fabien Therrien.
As per Gilles wishes there will be no Funeral but a celebration of life will be held on May 25, 2024 at Turner Park in Fort Saskatchewan.
In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation in his honor.
