It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Laurence Jigolyk. Dad is survived by and forever loved by his sons, Sean and Patrick and his daughter, Alicia (Jordan); grandson, Jesse and granddaughter, Abby. He will also be deeply missed by his partner of 22 years, Sandra; and her sons, Michael and Tyler, and her grandson, Oliver. Laurence will be fondly remembered by his sister, Rita (Joe) and their 4 sons, David, James, Michael and Tim. He will also be remembered by his cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and previous colleagues and volunteers in his years of service with the EPS, Solicitor General, RCMP Victim Services and the farming community. Laurence was predeceased by his father, Harry; mother, Tillie; and ex-wife, Patricia.
Prayer Service will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church (Lamoureux Church), 56 – 55000 Lamoureux Drive, Sturgeon County on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Father Kris Schmidt officiating. Memorial Donations greatly appreciated to the Home Care Program of the Fort Saskatchewan Health Unit. Special thanks to the Gibbons Fire Department Emergency Response Team, Sturgeon Community Hospital, ICU and Palliative Care staff for their loving support and care.
