Alene Hambright

Alene Hambright, 90, of Fort Smith, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in Fort Smith. She was born July 31, 1928 in Pottsville, AR to the late Albert and Susie Pratt. She married Otto Stanley Hambright, Jr. She was a retired from Riverside Furniture. Her grandchildren knew her as Grannie, very kind Christian family women who loved to feed any and every one she met. She was a long-standing member of Haven Heights Baptist Church.

Her husband of 51 years, Otto Stanley Hambright, Jr.; and two sisters, Irene Albertson and Geraldine Larson, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son, Stanley Hambright and wife Paula; her daughter, Cindy Jeffries & husband Ryan; grandchildren, Jansen Hambright and his wife Britney, Chance Hambright and Ashlyn Jeffries; her great grandchildren, Tanner and Jaycee Hambright; two sisters, Nadine Deuster and husband Raymond and Christina Sims; three sister-in-laws, Maxie Kohout, Charlsie Vasek and Joy Hambright and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Jeffries, Jansen Hambright, Chance Hambright, Eugene Deuster, Mike Locknar and Noel Yowell.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Monday at Haven Heights Baptist Church with burial to follow at U. S. National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
