

Alfredo Apolinar, Sr. 80 of Fort Smith, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. He was born on January 12, 1940 in Puebla, Mexico to Hipolito and Maria De La Paz Apolinar. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Alfredo was retired from Southwestern Glass Company, he had also worked at Ft. Chaffee, helping with the Cuban refugees.
Funeral Mass will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 5, 2021 St. Boniface Catholic Church, interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife Natalia, of the home; two daughters, Mercedes Rodriguez and Mariana Jimenez (Pedro), both of Fort Smith; two sons, Alfredo Apolinar, Jr. of Fort Smith and Marcos Apolinar of Mexico and a sister, Yolanda Rios (Jorge) of Mexico. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; Mark Apolinar, Angelo Rodriguez, Rebecca Balleza, Kayla Apolinar, Isaiah Huerta, Christian Apolinar, Mia Apolinar, Karina Jimenez and six great grandchildren, Jaxelli, Jayden, Adriel, Lillian, Maiyaella and Amara.
Pallbearers will be Alfredo Apolinar, Jr., Pedro Jimenez, Angelo Rodriguez, Isaiah Huerta, Christian Apolinar and Ruben Apolinar.
Public viewing will be from 12 noon to 6:00 P.M., with the rosary to immediately follow, on Monday, January 4, 2021.
