Anne Covey Reichardt

Anne Covey Reichardt, 77, passed from this life July 24, 2014 in Tyler, Texas. She was born May 21, 1937, in Fort Smith, to the late Robert Edgar and Anna Ballman Covey. Anne was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. She is survived by her children, Cindy Shaw Stephens of Nashua, New Hampshire, Melissa Shaw Sikes of Tyler, Texas, James Michael Shaw Jr. of Seattle, Washington and Rachel Shaw Busch of Fayetteville, Arkansas, as well as 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband John C. Reichardt and her brother, Robert Covey. Anne was a member of the Ft. Smith Junior Civic League, the Fort Smith Heritage Foundation and was a past president of The Bonneville House. Anne was an active member of St. John’s church where she was a lifetime member. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and being with her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, August 3, 2014 at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. A reception at the Bonneville House to celebrate her life will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, Anne requested that memorials be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church, 215 North 6th Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
