Austin McAllister

Austin Slade McAllister was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on November 17, 1982 to his beloved parents, Tom and Sharon McAllister. He left this world to be with his Heavenly Father on April 8, 2026. Our love for him will last a lifetime. He was our precious baby brother, uncle, friend, and most adored son.

Austin was a blessing from above, arriving as a much needed surprise to his family. He was carefully nurtured, adored, loved, and maybe a little spoiled by his three older sisters and his doting parents. Jesus knew we needed a blonde headed blue eyed bundle of joy to add to our family. Austin brought many colorful stories to all of our lives. When he was ten years old he decided to drive his daddy’s car into the family kitchen. We all got a chuckle out of that one! He kept that love for cars into adulthood. He and his dad shared a special bond of loving things that were shiny and that would go really fast.

His mom, Sharon, was so proud of his academic success. He excelled in grade school, high school, and college, often making straight A’s. Austin was a graduate of the University of Arkansas, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. After graduating from the University of Arkansas, he moved to Fort Smith to start a new adventure of owning and operating his father's electrical business. He and his partner successfully ran the business together for twenty years.

Austin is survived by his father, Thomas Foltz McAllister, his sisters Shannon McAllister, Danette and her husband Kent Fields, and Tammy and her husband Warren Lee. He was also blessed by his nephews and nieces, and great nieces as well. Nieces; Shelby Johnson, Megan Barnes, Avery Wickstrom, and Savannah Fairley. Nephews; Adam Johnson, Michael Lee, Mason Lee, and Darby Fields. Great Nieces, Apoline Cellers, Milou Cellers, and Maisie Barnes.

He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Sharon Sue McAllister, his brother Todd Thomas McAllister, and his nephew James Patrick Thomas Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 17 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 North 12th Street, Fort Smith, AR. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, April 18th at 11:00am at Ridgeline Church, 330 Rudy Road, Alma, AR.

Pallbearers will be: Chad Wilmon, Zack Newman, Shawn King, Koby Smith, Parker Fraley, and Steve Pace.
