Betty Jo Stuart Fowler 89, of Fort Smith, passed away on November 29, 2013 in Little Rock. She was born August 6, 1924 in Russellville, AR to Cecil M. and Mary Lee Poynter Stuart. She was a worker for the Fort Smith Public School System for over 20 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Bill Fowler of Spokane, WA; one daughter, Pam Siler of Little Rock, AR; one sister, Helen Hackney of Redondo Beach, CA; three granddaughters, Sara Fowler of Spokane, WA., Erin Fowler of Rapid City, SD., and Tracie Fowler of Seattle, WA; one great granddaughter, Aaliyah Quarles; and one great grandson, Isaiah Quarles both of Spokane, WA; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur W. Fowler, Jr.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the U.S. National Cemetery of Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
