A devoted member of Calvary Assembly of God Church, Betty was involved in her community, she generously gave her time volunteering at local nursing homes. Betty had a heartfelt love for animals and a passion for antiquing and junking, a hobby she affectionately called “sniffing.” She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of a classic Coca-Cola and a good chocolate bar.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Frank Stabler; and her brother, Buddy Keeton.
Cherishing her memory are her sons, Jim Stabler and his wife Laurel, and Frank Stabler and his wife Rose; her grandchildren, Jed and his wife Holly, Aaron and his wife Kacie, Jessica, and Nathan and his wife Dawn; and her great-grandchildren, Lera, Judd, and June.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901. Betty will be laid to rest following the service at Roselawn Cemetery, 5403 N “O” St, Fort Smith, AR 72904.
