Leaving a void on earth in the hearts of her devoted daughter, Connie & all of her family & friends, she passed into eternity to be with her Lord on September 30, 2016 at the age of 78.
As a young school girl, Betty Lee with her beautiful smile was the epitome of southern charm and grace, always surrounded by many friends and admirers. She attended schools in Fort Smith where she graduated.
Betty Lee gave her heart and her hand in marriage to George Herbert Stewart. Together with their children: Connie and Donald, they made their home in Fort Smith. Herbert’s work took them to Louisiana where they made their home for many years.
Betty Lee devoted herself to being a fulltime homemaker. She had an eye for color and a flair for decorating making her home a warm welcoming haven for her family and a place of hospitality and fellowship to all of their friends.
Betty was an excellent seamstress and cook who enjoyed showing off her many skills for family and friends. She loved the outdoors and going fishing. She had a passion for garage sales and went every chance she got with her friends, Dottie and JoAnne. Affectionately known as “Mother Superior”, Betty was fiercely protective of those she loved.
Betty was greeted at the gates of Heaven by her parents, husband, siblings and her son, Donald, who departed before her.
Those remaining to celebrate her life are her daughter, Connie; four grandchildren, Maquel Pauly, Craig Pauly, Eric Stewart and Matthew Stewart; seven great grandchildren, Alexas, Giovany, Isabella, Davian, Maetzi, Daniela and Thessaly, along with other family and friends.
