

Born on March 7, 1937, to Emmett and Clara (Underwood) White, Bettye lived a full and vibrant life rooted in love and laughter.
A talented cook and avid crocheter with fancy calligraphy handwriting in flashy clothes and fingers dazzling with diamond rings. Bettye was known for being full of spark, a spunky personality with her spirited sense of humor. She cherished time with her family above all. She adored her grandchildren and her beloved great-granddaughter, they were the joys of her life. Bettye's love for red wine, hard candy, and her fondness for animals were just a few of the many things that made her truly unforgettable.
She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Charles Floyd and Paul Satterfield; her sons, Gary and Jerry Floyd; her sisters, Linda Masterson and Carol Graham; and her brothers, Donald and Rodney White.
Left to honor and cherish her memory: her grandchildren Corey Grist and wife Ashley and daughter Morgan , Paige Floyd Moreland and husband Jason with great-granddaughter, Lily Quinn Moreland; step-grandchildren: Phillip Grist and Peyton Parker; her sister Treva McGuire and husband Greg; her brothers James White and wife Amy, and Bryan White and wife Angel; daughter-in-laws Tina Floyd wife of Gary and Lauri Rupp Floyd wife of Jerry; along with numerous other relatives and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 6, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901. Funeral services celebrating Bettye’s life will take place in the chapel at Edwards Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 7, at 1:00 p.m., followed by burial at Hickory Ridge Cemetery near Charleston, Arkansas.
