Bettye Minton

Bettye Minton, 81, of Fort Smith, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012, in Fort Smith. She was born October 4, 1931 in Fort Smith. She was a retired Register Nurse and worked at St. Edwards Mercy Medical Center and Sparks Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Curtis and Cecilia Lenington, sister Barbara Harvell and brother Sonny Lenington.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 31, 1012, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

She is survived by one daughter Christa McKinney and husband Aaron of Van Buren, four sons Tom Minton of Fort Smith, Bud Minton and wife Judy of Fort Smith, Michael Minton and wife Anita of Van Buren and Grady Minton of Fort Smith, two sisters Ramona Brown and Sarah Bond both of Pocola, OK, one brother Ronnie Lenington and wife Linda of Cedar Vale, KS, six grandchildren Kevin Minton, Courtney Williams, Joshua Minton, Taylor Minton, Reese Minton and Maleah McKinney, one step granddaughter Lanasha Wilkins, one great granddaughter Kealey Williams and three step great grandchildren Keyarie, Javion and Jeremiah Wilkins.

Pallbearers will be Mark Harvell, Todd Lenington, John Bond, Bill Brown, Jr., Burke Lenington and Cody Lenington.

The family will visit with friends Tuesday, October 30, 3012, from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM at the

Funeral Home.
