

Bieng Van Nguyen, 83, of Fort Smith, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016. He was born October 10, 1933 in Haiphong, Vietnam to Co Van and Ty Thi Bui. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, retired from Mall City Container in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and he served in both the South Vietnamese Army and Navy. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Dung Thi Ly; a daughter, Huyen Nguyen; and a brother, Nghiep Bui. His passions were his family, music and growing beautiful flowers.
Rosary will be said Thursday and Friday evening at 5:45 P.M. at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
He is survived by six daughters, Anh-Tuyet Thi Le of Fort Smith, Lan Tran of Winter Haven, FL, Thu Doolittle of Coppell, TX, Yen Bui of Kissimmee, FL, Bach-Tuyet Reifler of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Hang Nga Arnold of Kalamazoo, Michigan; four sons, Tuan Minh Nguyen of Biloxi, MS, Dung Duc Nguyen of Garden Grove, CA, Hung Tam Nguyen of Rutherford, TX and Tam Hung of Bellevue, WA. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and brother, Bieng V. Bui.
Pallbearers will be Vuong Nguyen, Hoang Smith, Tai Le, Tan Le, Phuc Tran, Toan Tran, Brandon Nguyen and Jonathan King.
