

Bill W. Woolbright, 76, passed away January 31, 2017 after an extended illness. He was born September 20, 1940 in Durant, OK and was the former owner of Woolbright Equipment Company for 40 years and had retired to the Lake Tenkiller area.
Bill grew up in Durant, OK, where he played high school quarterback on several winning teams. As a young man, he was active coaching church league baseball. He still holds the speed record on the Arkansas River from the Mississippi River to the Port of Catoosa. This record has stood since 1975. Bill was an avid OU fan and never missed a televised game.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 4, 2017 at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Fort Smith. Service and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Bill was preceded in death by his son, Terry Joe Woolbright.
He is survived by his wife, Janie, of the home; one daughter, Cheryl Jones and husband Bobby of Fayetteville, AR; two sons, Chad Woolbright and wife Paige of Oklahoma City, OK and Nick Woolbright of Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Ashley Daws and Rachel Cannon of Nashville, TN, Allie Woolbright of Norman, OK, Danielle Fleming of Springdale, AR, William Whit Woolbright of Oklahoma City; and two great-grandchildren, Owen and Shephard Daws.
