Billy G Lovett

Billy Gene Lovett passed from this life to go meet his Heavenly Father on January 3, 2021. He was a long time member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Fort Smith. He was a printer at Dixie Cup, retiring after 41 years of service. He was a Veteran of both the U. S. Navy and the U.S. Army Reserves. Billy was a 32nd Degree Mason and a 67-year member of Belle Point Lodge #20.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Vivian Lovett and his sister, Joy Sharum.

Billy is survived by his wife of 64 years Betty Lovett; two sons, David Lovett (Debra) of Kibler and Mark Lovett (Priscilla) of Spiro, OK.; four grandchildren, Jessica Lovett of Gladstone, MO., Cory Lovett of Kibler, Steven Chance of Kansas city, MO., and Jennifer Cusick of Spiro, OK.; six great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 1 PM, Friday, January 8, 2021 at Fort Smith National Cemetery with full military honors. Viewing will be 3 PM till 7 PM, January 7, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Home.

In lieu of flower’s memorials may be made to Gideon’s International. Services are entrusted to Edwards Funeral Home.
