Billy Wayne McKenzie

Billy Wayne McKenzie, 51, of Pocola, passed from this life November 7, 2016 in Fort Smith. He was born September 15, 1965, in Fort Smith, to Billy Joe and Joyce Ann Bradshaw McKenzie. Billy was an avid outdoorsman; he’d almost rather be hunting, than doing anything else.

He is survived by his children, daughter Hunter McKenzie and son, Landon McKenzie, both of Pocola; a grandson, Mason Wayne McKenzie; his parents, Bill and Joyce McKenzie of Pocola; his sisters, Tangie Luu and Angie Childers and her husband Randy, all of Pocola; his brothers, Mark McKenzie and his wife Shana of Pocola and Ve Dao and his wife Tracy of Houston, Texas; two nieces Mindy Luu-Beesley and Hannah McKenzie; three nephews, Jeremy Luu, Dody Luu and Christopher McKenzie; three great nieces, as well as numerous other family and friends. Billy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ector and Sarah McKenzie and maternal grandparents, John and Donnie Bradshaw.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, November 11, 2016 at Christian Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Pocola, with burial following at Macedonia Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Evans-Miller Funeral Home in Pocola.

Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
