

He leaves behind his two sons, Brandon (and his wife, Chelsea) Cardwell, and Zachary Cardwell, along with his stepdaughter, Miranda Bradley.
He is additionally survived by his father, Robert Cardwell and five siblings: Mitch (Angela) Cardwell, Missy (Donny) Hutchins, Kimberly Cardwell, Mindy Sharpe, and Lloyd (Karen) Cardwell.
Brent also leaves behind a grandson, Ace Cardwell, as well as his step-grandchildren, Lexi and Alex Bradley. Furthermore, Brent leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
Brent was born in Houston, Texas on September 1, 1963 to Robert and Barbara Cardwell.
A love for outdoors, and all things lake, Brent enjoyed fishing, boating, skiing, and swimming.
Brent had an enthusiasm for life that was unmatched. He was known for not being able to sit still. He was the epitome of hard-working. Even before high school, he had a paper route and was determined to spend his time doing something constructive.
Brent graduated from Southside in 1982, after which he went on to give 30 award-winning years of dedicated service in management at Walmart.
His work ethic was driven by his passion for taking care of his family. He was the consummate provider.
Brent loved life, and he loved his family and friends. His generosity was unrivaled. Even in his final days he was concerned about the welfare of others, always putting his own needs last.
He will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to be a part of his circle.
Brent is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Cardwell Truitt, and stepfather, Clyde Truitt.
To honor his memory we are holding a memorial service on January 8, 2024–from 2 o’clock to 4 o’clock—at Edward’s Funeral Home in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
