Chad Smith, 51, of Fort Smith, AR, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026. He was born in Fort Smith on November 11, 1974. Chad was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church. Chad loved all things outdoors, especially fishing, floating, camping and sitting around a campfire with friends and family.
He is survived by his daughter, Taylor Smith of Ottumwa, Iowa; his son, Conner Smith of Greenwood, AR; his mother, Marian Smith-Garcia of Fort Smith and two brothers, Andy Smith (Darla) and Greg Smith, both of Fort Smith. Chad is also survived by five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Ray Smith.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Barling City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Colin Reagan, Fu Nguyen, David Howard, Brian Honeycutt and Aaron Lehnen.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
