Charlene "Bill" Roberts

Charlene “Bill” Roberts, 83, of Roland, OK passed away on January 30, 2014 in Roland. She was born October 13, 1930 in Spur, Texas to Charley H. and Ella Rodessa Lusk McAlpin. She was a charter member of The BOD.tv" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">BOD.tv Church in Roland. She was retired from the Rural Water Department District 7 where she was Office Manager, and she was a former employee of Dixie Cup. She loved her family, and it was her greatest joy to make them happy. She also enjoyed dancing and making all who were with her laugh. She shared her love with all those who knew her. She is survived by one son, Dwayne Roberts of Muldrow; two daughters, Leisa Irvin of Muldrow and Tina Sampson of Roland; five grandchildren, Galen Irvin, Daxx Roberts, Rachel Madison, Drew Roberts, and Kyle Sampson; along with one great grandchild, Drake Irvin. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 49 years, Ralph Roberts. Funeral service will be Monday, February 3, 2014 at 12 noon in The BOD.tv Church in Roland with burial follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Galen Irvin, Daxx Roberts, Drew Roberts, Kyle Sampson, Rodney Carter, DJ Madison, Ben Daniel, and Jim Roberts. The family will greet friends on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
