He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sharon Herrick; daughter, Laura Gosnell and husband Sawyer Gosnell of Atlanta, Georgia; son, Andrew Herrick of Fort Worth, Texas; one brother, John Herrick of Ely, Minnesota; three nephews and their families.
Charles moved to Arkansas in 1985 and worked as a parts manager in several automotive businesses and for ACE Hardware in Fort Smith. He retired from Pharis Broadcasting in 2001. Charles was a ham radio operator with the Good Old Boys ham radio network and served as the net coordinator twice a week. He was an active, vital member of that group, and he found great joy in connecting up with members around the country and the world.
A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Services and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Friday, August 3rd, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Edwards Funeral Home.
