Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his daughter Amanda Espy of Rio Rancho, NM, sons Charles Hicks, Jr. of Sallisaw, OK, Venson Hicks of Van Buren, AR and Charles Burris of Fort Smith, AR, parents Roy and Linda Hicks of Fort Smith, AR, sister Darla Pruitt of Hartford, AR, brothers Rodney Hicks of Fort Smith, AR and Brian Hicks of Fort Smith, AR and six grandchildren.
