Christine Louise Hughes, 58, of Fort Smith, passed from this life October 7, 2016 in Fort Smith. She was born July 13, 1958, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, to the late Milton and Ruby Barlow Hughes. Christine was a machine operator for Hickory Springs.
She is survived by two daughters, Lacie Montgomery and her husband Chris and Billie Jean Hughes, all of Fort Smith; three sisters, Linnie Duncan and Barbara Dutton of Fort Smith and Janice Allen of Muldrow; two brothers, Kenneth Hughes and Keith Hughes and his wife Leslie, all of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, Tayler, Tristan and Olivia Jones, Ethan Hughes and Owen Montgomery, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will greet friends from 2:00 to 4:00pm Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Edwards Funeral Home. At Christine’s request, no services are scheduled at this time. Services and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
