He was a retired Gastroenterologist, and he was a United States Army Veteran. Chris enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fly fishing, crossword puzzles and game shows.
He was preceded in death by his son Scott Van Asche.
He is survived by his wife Martha; daughters, Marcie McKinney and Sarah Wilson, both of Fort Smith; grandchildren, Lauren McKinney, Emily McKinney, Jack Wilson, and Claire Wilson.
Graveside Service and burial of ashes will be 1:00 PM Friday, September 20, 2024, at Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
