Daniel Gene Parson

Daniel Gene Parson, 48, of Mountainburg, AR died December 9, 2011 in Fort Smith. He was born December 30, 1962 in Louisville, KY to Robert Lee and Janice LeBaron Parson. He was retired after 20 years service in the U. S. Navy and was a member of the VFW.

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Janice Parson of Fort Smith; four sisters, Debra Birkholz of LaPorte, IN., Jayna Todd of Westfork, AR., Laura Dawn Hudson and Karen Sue Endl both of Fort Smith; one brother, Robert Lee Parson, Jr of Fort Smith.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery with full Military Honors by the Marine Corp Recruiters under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be members of VFW Post 8845, Johnny Gothard, Robert Cravens, Leroy Farmer, Darrell Smith, Carter Ferguson and Dustin Gober.

The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5-7 PM
