David Kenneth Mitchell, 53, of Fort Smith, died November 4, 2013 in Barling, AR. He was born August 25, 1960 in Muskogee, OK to Clayton Keith and Julia Ann Millard Mitchell. He was a retired Paralegal, DeMolay, Life Long member of the NRA, and member of Midland Heights United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Cheryl Mitchell of the Home; one daughter, Sarah Lowery of Houston, TX; two step daughters, Andrea Peters of Houston, TX and Elizabeth Vattes of the home; one son, Travis Mitchell of Jacksonville, NC; one stepson, Shawn Davis of Fort Smith; his mother, Julia Mitchell of Fort Smith; two brothers, Chris Mitchell of Vienna, VA and Jamie Mitchell of Fort Smith; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Keith Mitchell. Funeral service will be Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel followed by cremation. Services and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5-7 PM.
