Della McCarley, 97, of Van Buren, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026. She was born on April 14, 1929, in Clarksville, AR to the late Wilburn Towe and Mamie Farris Towe. Della was a homemaker and a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church in Van Buren. In addition to her parents, Della is preceded in death by two sisters: Edra Anderson and Dorothy England; two brothers: Nolus Towe and Reed Towe; a granddaughter, Julia Erin Womack.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Burns (John) of Van Buren; two granddaughters, Jennifer Morlan of Dallas, TX and Shelly Hastings (Nick) of Michigan. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, May 15, 2026, in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with the Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 pm. Interment will be at the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eastern Heights Baptist Church, 3605 Kibler Road, Van Buren, AR 72956.
