DonElla Mechling

DonElla Mechling, age 94, of Fort Smith passed from this life August 6, 2021, with her daughter by her side. She was born October 25, 1926 in Abilene, Texas to Matha D. and Laura C. “Mom & Pop” Jarrell. DonElla was a homemaker and operated Park Putter Miniature Golf at Creekmore Park with her late husband Al Mechling, and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Fort Smith.

DonElla is survived by her daughter Laurie Mechling of Fort Smith; two grandsons. Robert Beasley and his wife Jennifer from Greenwood and Aaron Beasley and his wife April of Fort Smith; six great grandchildren, Samantha Gard and her husband Nick, Christopher Beasley and his wife Chyler, Nicholas Beasley, Olivis Beasley, Summer Martin and Autumn Martin; four great great granddaughters, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Linda Mechling Hooper and a grandson, Andrew Mechling.
