Doris Bowlin Burrow

Doris Bowlin Burrow, 99 of Fayetteville, formerly of Ft. Smith, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015. She was born June 21, 1915 in Cameron, OK to the late Ferman and Eunice Bowlin. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith. She was a retired 5th grade school teacher, having taught for 39 years in Oklahoma and Arkansas. She was a member of both the Oklahoma and Arkansas Retired Teachers Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold V. Burrow.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at the Slaytonville Cemetery.

Doris is survived by four nieces; Sharlee McNamee of Southern, California, Jerri Lotze of North Carolina, Zanita Bowlin also of North Carolina, and Kelbi Reed of California; two nephews, Kendall Bowlin of Southern, California and Philip Bowlin of Fayetteville. Doris is also survived by her First Baptist Church family and her innumerable students that she taught over the years, particularly those from Arkoma Elementary and Rogers Elementary in Fort Smith.
