Dorothy F. Peterson, 83, of Fort Smith, died February 19, 2015 in Greenwood. She was born December 9, 1931 to Felix and Ellen V. Addison Self. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, loved to play golf, and enjoyed making quilts. She is survived by one son, Robert Peterson of Fort Smith; three sisters, Louise and husband Bob Wiygul of Shreveport. LA., Lorie Wright of Dolen, TX., and Cynthia and husband Doyle Powell of Hornbeck, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Allen Peterson and son, Leonard Allen Peterson, Jr. Funeral service will be Monday, February 23, 2015 at 10:00 AM in St. Luke Lutheran Church with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Steve, Kyle, and Kevin Fairfield, Fred Naucke, Damon McDonald, and Ray Webb. The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-3 PM.
