

Elizabeth Schluterman Boerner Waddell, 91, of Fort Smith died Thursday, April 14, at Peachtree Hospice. She was born June 5, 1919, to the late Joseph and Theresa Schluterman in Subiaco, AR. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church for over fifty years. She retired from Weldon, Williams & Lick with twenty years of service. She was a former Catholic Daughter of the Knights of Columbus and Christ the King Choir member, she was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and loved to ballroom dance.
She is survived by her husband of nineteen years, Lt. Col. Jack Waddell and his daughter Celia Waddell, four sons: Harold and wife Nancy Boerner of Fort Smith, David and wife Pam of Little Rock, Greg and wife Trina Boerner of Fort Smith, Gary and wife Ruthie Boerner of Fort Smith, and her three daughters: Vicky Holleman and husband Stanley of Fort Smith, Shirley LaBorn and husband Karl of Fort Smith, and Claudia Moreton and husband Tommy of Fort Smith. She has seven grandsons, Craig Boerner and wife Courtney of Nashville, TN, Nicholas Boerner, Chad Moreton, and Kolby LaBorn all of Fort Smith, and Ryan, Connor and Cole Herget of Little Rock. She has ten granddaughters, Libby Lee (David), Dusty Colburn (Jamie), Stacy Forsgren (Dallas), Kelleigh Boerner of Little Rock, Stephanie Shepherd (Jimbo) of Fayetteville, Carey Dawn Neal (Jeff) of Conway, Crystal Boerner, Sara Hight, Candace Haydon, and Meghann LaBorn, her 13 great grandchildren, and caregiver Judy Beschoner.
She is also survived by her two brothers, Ed (Holly) and J.T. (Betsy) Schluterman, and her four sisters, Kathryn Reith, JoAnn VonderHeide (Charlie) and Ginny Klein (Frank) of Fort Smith and Gertrude Etzkorn (Richard) of Subiaco and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband Jim Boerner and four sisters Marie Eckart, Ceal Sprick, Martha Schluterman, and Olevia Seiter.
Rosary will be said on Monday, April 18, 2011 at 6:00 PM in Christ the King Catholic Church. Mass will be said on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Christ the King Catholic Church with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
