Elva Catherine Harris

Elva Catherine Harris, born December 18, 1930, in Washburn, Arkansas, rose to meet her savior March 27, 2016, Easter Sunday. She joined her father and mother, George and Viola Robinson; our father, George Otha Harris; two sons, Charles and Ronald; a daughter, Mildred Bontemps Cuce and granddaughter, Tiela Morris, as well as numerous brothers and sisters.

Our mother loved to quilt. She was the thread that held her family together, as in quilting, with love and patience.

She leaves behind her daughters, Mary Campbell, Zona Meek and husband Danny, Susan Sharp and husband John, Bonnie Lawrence and husband Greg, Anne Peacock and husband Ray, Shelly Crossno Wood and husband Robert; special grandson, Clifford Harris and wife Cathy, along with twenty grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. We love you mom and know heaven is having a special party for you with plenty of quilt scraps waiting to be pieced together with loving hands.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday, March 31, 2016 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Paint Rock Cemetery near Paris, Arkansas. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Richard and Warren Campbell, Nathan Redford, John Sharp, Chad Treadaway and Austin Rawls.
