Emma Jean Rogers

Emma Jean Rogers, 84, of Sprio, OK died June 17, 2011 in Sprio. She was born June 12, 1927 in Arkoma, OK to George F. and Daisy Alice Johnson McLemore. She was retired from the Hill Company, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Roland but she attended First Assembly of God in Spiro. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by one daughter, Debra Ellen and husband Wayne West of Spiro; one son, William A. and wife Barbara Rogers, Jr. of Van Buren, AR; five sisters, Naomi Price and Glenda Cochran both of Greenwood, Dortha Richards of Roland, Frances Watts of Muldrow, and Carolyn Snellgrove of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Krisa Neighbors, Brandon & wife Nicole West, and Natasha & husband Vishal Rachamsetty; and two great grandchildren, Heidi and Reid West. She was preceded in death by her husband William Artise Rogers; four sisters, Norma L. Smith, Opal Sue Rogers, Margret Tate, and Wanda Wofford; and four brothers, Darrel, Charles, Delbert, and George McLemore.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the First Assembly of God Church of Sprio, OK with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

Pallbearers will be Gene, Terry, Shannon, and Ben Daniel, Keith Beam and Tobee Chandler.

Honorary pallbearer will be Courtnee Chandler.

The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5-7 PM
