

Fannie Kelly, 95, of Owasso, Oklahoma, formerly of Fort Smith, passed from this life February 8, 2015 in Owasso. She was born March 30, 1919, in Lavaca to the late Luther and Ethel Howard Stem. Fannie believed in hard work and was no stranger to it. She assisted her late husband, Edward Harold Kelly, a homebuilder, by staining the floors and cabinets of the homes he built and had worked in the nursery at Countryaire Day Care. Fannie was an active member, along with her family, at Trinity Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Alderson and husband Jim of Owasso; a son, Edward Hugh Kelly and wife Ina of Fairfax Station, Virginia; two sisters Lydia Baldwin and Mattie Sprouse, both of Fort Smith; three granddaughters, Jennifer Knowles, Teresa Kelly and Amanda Holt, as well as six great grandchildren, Brandon and Austin Burnette, Alyssa Knowles, Bentley Clark, Brian Alderson and Emily Alderson. Fannie was also preceded in death by a grandson Gregory Alderson, her sisters, Thena Harwood, Oleta Larkin and Juanita Sailor, as well as her brother, Luther Stem, Jr.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, February 12, 2015 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Edwards Funeral Home.
