

Frankie Virginia Leasure, 91, of Greenwood, died August 27, 2011 in Greenwood. She was born May 28, 1920 in Webb City, AR and moved to McLean, Texas at the age of two in a covered wagon. She retired from Buster Brown Hardware Store as a cashier for 25 years and worked until she was 81 years old for the Sebastian County Retirement Association in the office at Midtown Nutrition Center as the contact person for home delivered meals and for transportation to and from the center for lunch. After leaving that job she was a regular at the Ray Baker Nutrition Center where she enjoyed having her lunch and visiting with friends. She was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church in Fort Smith.
She is survived by one daughter and son in law, Joanne and Ed Freeman of Greenwood; two sons, Jim Leasure and wife Linda of Alma, AR., and Stan Leasure and wife Sharon of Springfield, MO; four grandsons, Steve Freeman and wife Jan of Corpus Christi, TX, David Freeman and wife Stephanie of Van Buren, Clayton Leasure and wife Jen of Knoxville, TN and Doug Leasure and wife Sheena of Fayetteville, AR; two great grandsons, Jake and Jackson Freeman of Van Buren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Moses Roth and Alta Roth; husband, Harry E. Leasure and four brothers and three sisters.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 10:00 AM in Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
The body may be viewed on Monday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Edwards Funeral Home.
The family will visit with friends at the home of Ed & Joanne Freeman in Greenwood.
