Frankie Sue Morse, 76 of Lavaca, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023. She was born on February 14, 1947 in Mulberry, AR to the late Russel and Agnes Lane Morse. Frankie retired from Rheem Manufacturing, having held various positions within the company. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Frankie enjoyed traveling with an emphasis on new culinary experiences. At home, she enjoyed cooking, especially for family gatherings. Her favorite form of relaxation was working in her flower beds and mowing the yard. She never missed an opportunity to get out on the dance floor for a good old county western two-step with her husband. She thoroughly enjoyed the weekly lunches with her longtime friends. She loved her furry companions, especially her latest addition, Hans, a robust and loving standard poodle with lots of personality.
Frankie looked forward to attending Mass every Sunday and receiving the Eucharist! She was very appreciative of her relationship with Fr. John Antony, Fr. Joseph Chan, Fr. Jerome Kodell, and Fr. Norman McFall for their role in attending to her sacramental and spiritual needs.
We want to thank all the nurses and staff at the Fort Smith Dialysis Center for taking such good care of Frankie. We also want to thank her chair mates and fellow dialysis recipients for their friendship and support.
She is survived by her husband Charles Blaschke, of the home; two step-sons, Benjamin J. Blaschke (Christina) of Roland, OK and Andrew J. Blaschke of Hot Springs, AR; five step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild; a sister, Barbara Kaufman of Lavaca, AR; her “favorite” nephew, Michael Kaufman of Fayetteville and his children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Frankie is preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Ben Kaufman.
