Gerald Lee Potter, 85 of Tuscumbia, Alabama, formerly of Fort Smith, AR, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025. He was born on July 16, 1939, in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Earl Smith and Ruby Fowler Potter. Gerald retired from E.S. Robbins Company as a machine operator. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed to fish.
He is survived by three daughters, Karen Palmer (John) of Gurley, AL, Pam Potter of Owens Cross Roads, AL and Deborah Patterson of Madison, AL; a son, Stanley Potter of Laurel, Maryland; and a sister, Tonya Wilson of East Peoria, IL . He is also survived by five grandchildren, Christine Shull (Cam), John Palmer, James Palmer (Kailyn), Abby Patterson and Arina Patterson; two great grandchildren, Jacob Shull and Evie Shull.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 N. 12th Street, Fort Smith, AR.
Funeral service will be held starting at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery.
