Gregory H. Meyers

Gregory H. Meyers, 93 of Ft. Smith, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016. He was born May 19, 1923 in Morrison Bluff, AR to the late John and Mary Meyers. He attended St. Anne’s Academy, was an Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II, was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, and retired manager of Automatic Cigarette Service. After his retirement he took care of the grounds at St. Boniface Church and school. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mae Ruth Selig Meyers, his sisters and brothers; William Meyers, Margaret Schlag, Christine Klimpt, and George Meyers.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM Monday, May 30, 2016 at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 31, 2016 also at St. Boniface Catholic Church with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Gregory is survived by two sons; Michael and his wife Terri of Malvern, AR and Chris and his wife Lisa of Ft. Smith, his four brothers; J.B. Meyers and Jerome Meyers both of Ft. Smith, Joe Meyers of Loveland, CO, and Pat Meyers also of Ft. Smith. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Air Force Major John Meyers, Henry Meyers, Rudy Merryman, Erik Meyers, and Evan Meyers and his four Great Grandchildren; Patrick Merryman, Julianna Merryman, Collin Meyers and Logan Meyers.

Pallbearers will be Rick Meyers, Ken Schlag, Mark Meyers, Danny Meyers, Ryan Meyers, and B.J. Meyers.
