Gwendolyn Lorene Fowler

Gwendolyn Lorene Fowler, 85, of Greenwood, died February 7, 2013 in Greenwood. She was born January 16, 1928 in Greenwood, AR to Alvin Oscoe and Edith Estell Moore Hicks. She was a retired nurse’s aide for Sparks Regional Medical Center and she was a member of Haven Heights Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Faye Gulley of Greenwood and Shelva Jean Grim of Pocola, OK; two sons, Elvin Don Fowler of New Mexico and Steven Dale Fowler of Greenwood; four sisters, Lavern Hicks of Fort Smith, Lela Jane Baswell of Bossier City, LA., Mamie Lou Chaney of Bedford, TX., and Dorothy Satterfield of Fort Smith; two brothers, Robert Hicks of Greenwood and Nolen Hicks of Fort Smith; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be John Hicks, Matt Hicks, Tom Hicks, Delbert Hicks, Dewayne Hicks, and Robert Kleinschmidt.
