

Isabel Lappin Marks, 90, of Fort Smith, died April 23, 2011 in Fort Smith. She was born June 28, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan to Morris and Sadie Levy Lapin. Following the death of her mother she moved to Fort Smith and was raised by Joseph and Rae Lappin. Before and during World War II she served as a Medical Transcriptionist for Cooper Clinic. She was a homemaker, a member of the United Hebrew Congregation, and an avid Bridge Player.
She is survived by one daughter, Lynne Marks Schutle of Mesa, AZ; one son, Joseph Lappin Marks of Marietta, GA; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Morton B. Marks, Jr, who was a downtown merchant, owner operator of Mr. Vic’s Men’s Store.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Jewish Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be her family and friends.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5:30-7:30 PM.
