Jack Weatherton

Jack Weatherton, 68, died August 11 at a local Fort Smith hospital. He was born March 7, 1943 in Van Buren, AR to George and Eda Staley Weatherton. Jack was a retired general supervisor for the Whirlpool Corporation, a member of; the Arkoma First Baptist Church, and Woodmen of the World, and a Master Mason. Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

.He is survived by his wife Beverly, of the home, a daughter, Jackie Weatherton Sanders and her husband, Greg of Fort Smith, AR, a son, Mark Allen Weatherton and his wife Shawn of Muldrow, OK, (2) sisters, Terry Polinskey of Fort Smith, AR and Anna Lee Bautts of Rogers, AR, (4) grandchildren, Jennifer and Jordan Sanders of Fort Smith, Cade and Baylor Weatherton of Muldrow, several nieces and nephews including John Polinskey of Fort Smith and Michael Polinskey of Hawaii.

A visitation will be held at Edwards Funeral Home, Sunday, August 14 from 2 to 4pm. Funeral services will be 10:00am Monday, August 15 at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rick Kester and Reverend Steve Stewart officiating. Burial will be at the U.S. National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Greg Sanders, John Polinskey, Tim and Matt Bernett, Trex Smith, and Richard Sehorn.
