

James Albert Myers, Jr., 83 our Dad, died Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Dad was born October 27 1930 in Gown, OK to J.A. and Dora English Myers. He was the Sunday School Superintendent for Carthel Ramey at Holiness Church in Muldrow.
Dad was raised by his Dad in Hartford and started out working in coal mine in Hackett. From there he drove a truck for Mayflower and went into every state but six, in six months’ time, back when highways were two-lane. He was shop foreman for White Auto Sales and drove a car-carrier truck for eleven years. Dad opened his own garage in 1965, in Roland, Oklahoma, specializing in transmissions. In his later years, Dad enjoyed his tobacco, car races, westerns, and anything chocolate.
Dad will be missed by his two sons; Bill Myers of Ft. Smith and Jamie Myers of Roland, one daughter Sherry Cheek of Claremore, OK and one step-daughter Kathy Chandler of Roland, OK. Dad has three grandsons, three granddaughters and two step-granddaughters. There are sixteen great grands, six step-great grands and three great, great grands.
We will celebrate Dad’s life at 2:00 PM on Saturday at Fentress Mortuary. We will miss Dad, but we know he is not sick anymore and he is at rest. We love you Dad and we will see you in the morning.
