Jan was a very nice lady to work with and always welcoming whenever I saw her. She was certainly a blessing to the children she taught. I could always see the passion she had for her church and school. She will be greatly missed. God bless you.

Jan was truly a very special person!  Her creativity and humor were perfect for her job as a GATE teacher.  Jan's elementary students that I taught in junior high, thought so highly of her.  The lives that she touched, whether student or adult, were greatly enriched for having known her!  What a legacy she has left!

I count it a blessing and privilege to have known this wonderful lady as my 5th grade teacher (1979/80) at Morrison. She was an absolutely wonderful teacher because she truly loved us and treated us all like we were hers. So thankful I knew her and that both of my kids were even taught by her on occasion. We will all miss Mrs. Kessler. Praying for each of you.

Brad and Jeffrey, we just got in from vacation. I was so sad to hear about Jan's accident.  She was so funny and nice.  I am so sorry for your loss.

Though I did not know Jan for very long, just since Summer Care started, I admired her very much. She was wonderful with the children...a very special lady and she will be missed.  My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

I still remember the time that you and Jan invited me over for dinner when I was working the Ft. Smith. Very grateful for that. I was so shocked when I read your post on Facebook last week and have been reading some of the comments.

I met Jan at my first teaching job at Morrison Elementary when I was 21.  She was the first GT teacher I knew and she inspired me.  She got me involved in a summer enrichment program and it planted a seed.  I became a GT teacher and have loved it for years.  I always enjoyed sitting down and catching up with Jan at AGATE.  It was the only time to visit, because I moved to Conway.  Jan made the world a better place with her laughter, kindness, encouragement, and generous heart.  God bless you and your family.  I will always be inspired by her.

Jan touched so many young lives and hearts her legacy will continue through those who live on. She will be missed by all who knew her. My deepest and most sincere sympathy to Brad and their son.

The bible reassures us that whosoever believes in the name of Jesus will have eternal life.  We who have known and loved Jan know that she is now without pain and is in heaven with her loving Father and His son, Jesus Christ. Brad and Jeffrey. There are no words to describe my feelings at the tragic loss of Jan.  She was such a gracious, caring person with such an unbelievable sense of humor.  I'm so glad that she was my friend.f As I think back over times we shared both in church and in school I find myself laughing at some of those events.  I also recall her hosting Erin's 13th birthday party and what a fun time that was for the girls with Jan right in the middle of it all!  She loved you guys so much and I hope you can cherish those memories that will become even more special and remember how special you were to her.

First I want to say I really did not know Ms. Kessler but I knew she was loved. I just retired as Ramsey's GATE teacher and for many years so many of my students said wonderful words about their elementary GATE teacher--they loved her. Mrs. Jan was my grandson, Beau Harlan, teacher. I had the honor to meet Mrs. Jan at a St. Boniface luncheon. I adored her. I remember her asking me if I was raised Baptist. She followed Beau on social media and saw us singing  "Power in the Blood" . I got the biggest kick out of that! My daughter, Lindsey, and her son, Beau, thought the world of her. And I, with only a moment in time, believe and know she made a difference in our lives, especially in Beau's life. I truly believe Beau will always remember his Mrs. Jan.  She will be missed and our hearts are broken, but also, feel blessed she graced us with her love.

I never had the pleasure to meet you two but I feel like I know you. You were Jan's life without a doubt. She spoke of you in some fashion in every conversation. I just want you to know that she was not only special to you but to everyone whose life she touched. She was a free spirit and a loving individual.  She made a positive impact on every child she encountered.  I'm deeply sorry for your lose.  She is, however, "with us."  I believe that with all my heart.  I consider you both my friends because Jan would have wanted that.  God bless you in this difficult time, but know that if there was ever a guardian angel, it is Mrs. Jan.
