Janene Sue Dorman

Ret. E-4 specialist Janene Dorman, 61, of Fort Smith passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, July 10, 2023. She was born to the late Gene and Janice Dotson, on May 24th, 1962 in Orange, TX. She was a U.S. Army Veteran. She was a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister and a force to be reckoned with as a grandmother. She was the glue of the Dorman family, with her wit, sense of humor, honor, and family pride.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Theresa Dotson. She is survived by her husband and the love of her life Dan Dorman. Her favorite oldest daughter Brandy Dorman and grandson Shane. Her favorite youngest daughter Bethina Raybourn, Son in law Cody and their children Jada, Mali, Keira, Cayden, and Cason. Her favorite oldest son Daniel (Bear) Derek Dorman his wife Ally and their children Taylor Belle, And Olly. Her favorite youngest son Sean (Boomer) Dorman and his children Tori and Ryder. Her siblings, Mike Dotson and his wife Beverly, Ricky Dotson and his wife Lorretta, Lynda Herrera Heidi Montang.

Janene was a beautiful, vibrant, intelligent woman. And beloved by all who knew her. And while her time on this earth was short it was filled with love and laughter, family and friends. Adventure and a greater love than even Wesley and Buttercup.....As you wish Janene (mom), As you wish!

Visitation will be from 5;00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 North 12th Street, Fort Smith, AR.

Graveside with military honors will be 1:00 pm Friday, July 14, 2023 at the pavilion of the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
