

Jeannine Dillon Walker, 86, of Fort Smith, died June 26, 2013 in Fort Smith. She was born March 6, 1927 to Gaston and Simone Aubry Brunel in Ermont, France the eldest of six children. Before she came to the United States she did embroidery work for some of the biggest Paris fashion houses. After moving to the United States she worked for Taliano’s Italian Restaurant and Tommy’s Sea Food Restaurant for many years. She will be greatly missed. Jeannine and Gilbert traveled to 31 states as managers of the Arkansas Holiday Rambler Club and she was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a very kind and generous person to all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Gilbert Walker of the Home; one sister, Lucienne LeBault of France; one brother, Paul Brunel of France; cousin, Suzanne and husband David of France; her beloved cat Susie, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband George Dillon; and her siblings, Claude, Mireille, and Gaston. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fort Smith National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jim, David, and Kevin Clauson, Joel Rafkin, Mark Curlett, and Andy Mathew. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Gregory Dillon and John McCrea.
