Jessie Jacobs Hames

Jessie Jacobs Hames, 91 of Fairport, New York formerly of Fort Smith passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2010 in Rochester, New York. She was a member of Goddard United Methodist Church and a homemaker. She was a former resident of Peachtree Village and was awarded the Neighbor of the Month by the Mayor. She was preceded in death by her husband Duarward Hames.

Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Ft. Smith.

She is survived by her daughter Darlene Sharp and her husband Larry of Dallas, Texas and son Kenneth Abbot of Rochester, New York; two grandchildren Charles Williams and his wife Kelly of Dallas, Texas and Scott Williams of Dallas, Texas.

Viewing will be 12:00 Noon to 8:00 PM Monday, September 27, 2010, with a visitation 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM Monday at the funeral home.
