

He graduated from Mena High School, attended Hendrix College, and graduated from Draughon Business College in Fort Smith.
While in Mena he served on the Volunteer Fire Department. He served in the Arkansas National Guard and a proud moment was receiving the salute of President of John F. Kennedy when the President came through the Municipal Airport. Jim was a 32 degree Mason, a member of Temple Masonic Lodge, a member of UCT, and a member of Faith United Methodist Church. Jim retired after 29 years from Sears Roebuck and Company.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years Nancy of the home; three children: a son Mark Dover and wife Anne of Ijamsville, MD, and two daughters Miah Dover Gustafson and husband Jim of Irving, TX and Sally Dover Israel and husband Shawn of Fort Smith, and four grandchildren, Tyler and Travis Dover and Katie and Nash Israel.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William A. Cheyne officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Moody, Dave Ross, Shawn Israel, Jim Gustafson, Dennis Berry and Harlon Wentz. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Ludington, Paul Gean and Melvin Bishop.
Family will visit with friends after the funeral service and burial at the residence of Shawn and Sally Israel.
