Jo Anne Courtney

Jo Anne Courtney of Eagle Rock, MO., died February 26, 2015 in Fort Smith, AR. She was born September 26, 1932 in Boston, MA to William Burke and Eleanor Hession Harriss. She was a retired Registered Nurse for the Arkansas Department of Human Services. She was also a retired veteran of the U.S. Army. Her memberships included the Arkansas Nurses Association, National Association of Gerontological Nurses, National Guard Association of Business and Professional Women, Association of Women in Military Service for America, and the Republican Women’s Association.

She is survived by one daughter, Deborah and husband Robert Satterfield of Fort Smith. four sons, Stephen & wife Lisa Courtney of Belmont, MA., Michael & wife Donna Courtney of Elizabethtown, PA., David & wife Susan Courtney of Fort Worth, TX., and Jerry & wife Katie Courtney of Camas, WA; eighteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred E. Courtney.

Funeral service will by Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery with full Military Honors.

The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5-7 PM.
