Joan Dean

Joan Dean, 83, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, formerly of Fort Smith, passed from this life May 11, 2015 in Fayetteville. She was born August 19, 1931 in Conway, Arkansas to the late Hal and Lucille Love Kennamer. Joan was a 1953 graduate of the University of Arkansas, was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church and was a realtor with Coldwell Banker Flemming-Lau Realty. She was active with P.E.O., the Fort Smith Board of Realtors and the Arkansas Real Estate Association. She was the widow of Charles Lee Dean.

She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Crawford and her husband Bradley of Lindale, Texas and Ann Leigh Sorensen and her husband Mike of Colonial Heights, Virginia; her brother, William “Bill” Kennamer of Fayetteville, Arkansas; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Friday, May 15, 2015 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 2:00pm at Oak Wood Cemetery in Paris, Arkansas. The family will greet from 4:30 to 6:30pm Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Edwards Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
