Joe A. Cattaneo passed away peacefully Friday, May 26, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 90. Joe was born in Bonanza, Arkansas on July 9, 1932. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Virginia, his parents, Joe G. And Cleo Holmes Cattaneo and a brother, Morris Cattaneo. He is survived by two sisters, Helen Kaundart of Bonanza and Marilyn Noland of New Mexico, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Joe served in the Army Reserves. He worked for J.C. Penney’s for 30 years starting as a salesman in Fort Smith and worked his way up to store manager in Arkansas, Texas and Florida.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
A public viewing will be held at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 North 12th Street, Fort Smith on Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
